Break the Anxiety - Procrastination Cycle

If you often procrastinate when you’re anxious (or the task increases anxiety)....

and if procrastination in turn makes you feel more pressured and anxious....

you may be caught in the anxiety-procrastination cycle.

And if it’s increasing bad feelings about the task,

escalating stress/anxiety,

decreasing productivity,

and you’re missing opportunities,

then it is time to start breaking the cycle!

This new short program introduces tips, research insights, and practical strategies to intervene where anxiety and procrastination are feeding each other.

This group program meets once a week for 3 weeks to develop and practice skills that tackle the "complicated failure or self-regulation" in this anxiety-procrastination cycle.

Topics include:

•  why procrastination may have nothing to do with time management

•  the most common risk factors for triggering procrastination

•  a variety of self-regulation strategies that help break the anxiety - procrastination cycle

•  catching the thinking patterns that perpetuate procrastination

•  the trio of actions that, when combined, have the strongest impact in lowering procrastination, and exercises to practice these approaches in between sessions

All techniques in this program have originated from research into strategies which decrease anxiety and procrastination. They have been well studied and the most up-to-date information will be presented.

This is not a self-disclosure or therapy group; the purpose is developing skills and a personal plan of action.
This educational program emphasizes skill acquisition and gaining  information about diminishing anxiety and procrastination.
Daily practice is very strongly recommended.

Some people choose to have a combination of private sessions along with a group program.  For example, you may wish to have 1, 2, or more private sessions to get started right away on training while waiting for the next group program to start. Some individuals benefit from private training after a group program in order to fine-tune skills and tailor them to specific situations.
